The Coastal Elite Racing Team (CERT) has been delivering top-tier coaching in the New Jersey and Mid-Atlantic regions since 2016. Our weekly clinics in Toms River, NJ, are strategically timed to prepare sailors for major US championships. CERT sailors have achieved impressive qualifications, including the IODA World Championships and various continental championships such as European, North American, South American, and Asian events, as well as the US National Team.
Under the leadership of Head Coach Mike Dowd since 2016, the team benefits from over a decade of his expertise in coaching elite optimist and youth sailors across the USA. Mike ensures consistent, high-quality coaching and regularly brings in distinguished guest coaches to further enhance our sailors' skills.
CERT is a private racing program designed for individuals seeking to elevate their racing skills and train alongside other competitive sailors.
We offer top-notch coaching for both advanced and developing sailors who are enthusiastic about training and competing year-round.
